Eu tenho o meu Fusca '55 (apelido "Rosinha"), desde 1967, ele foi meu carro de uso diário durante muitos anos. Sendo assim, meus colegas de serviço conheciam o carro muito bem.
Em 1978, quando eu já tinha um carro novo para o uso diário, o colega de serviço Angel Labombarda, que é argentino, fez um desenho da Rosinha e me mostrou. Ele disse que era uma brincadeira. Mas eu gostei e pedi o desenho para mim. Ele não quis dar aquele desenho, pois achava que não estava bom, mas disse que faria um "mais caprichado".
Dito e feito, passado algum tempo eu recebi o desenho, que guardei com carinho. Vejam só, 22 anos depois eu coloco este desenho na pesquisa "Arte & Fusca", e tenho a oportunidade de resgatar esta história.
Para permitir a comparação entre a obra de arte e o original, veja abaixo, à esquerda, uma foto da Rosinha, feita em 1982. Você pode ver o detalhe da antena de PX na entrada de ar do motor, da "Orelha de Padre", no lugar das bananinhas, e do teto solar. Aspectos que o Angel retratou fielmente.
Hoje a Rosinha está toda reformada e com a sua cor original (vermelho coral). Veja a foto da direita, em baixo, tirada durante uma festa da Câmara de Comércio Teuto-Brasileira dia 18NOV1994.

I have my '55 VW Beetle (nickname "Rosinha"), since '67, it was my day use car for many years. Being so my business colleagues knew this car very well.
In 1978, when I already had a new car for the day use, an Argentinean colleague, Angel Labombarda, made a drawing of Rosinha and showed to me. He sad that it was only a joke. But I liked that artwork and asked it for me. He did not what to give that drawing to me, because it was not well drawn, but he said that he would made another good one. That happened, and some time later I received the drawing, which I kept respectfully. And look at that, 22 years later I include this drawing in the survey "The VW Beetle and the Pop Art", and have the opportunity to preserve this story.
In order to allow the comparison between the artwork and the original see below left the Rosinha's picture made in '82. You can see the detail of the CB radio antenna on the motor ventilation grill, the "popes ears lights" instead of the semaphores, and the sunroof. Details reproduced accurately by Angel.
Today Rosinha is completely refurbished and got its original color (Korallenrot). See the picture below right, taken during a party at the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, held on 18NOV1994.
