10JUL2004 - Added the Phot1662 and Phot1663 to the VW Beetle Art Objects-by Friends PAGE 3. They were sent by Reta - Margareta Lusceac from Romania. She contacted me to ask the permission to use a picture from this Site to use in her Site (http://www.geocities.com/broscar_zapacit/). There are not so many women that develop Sites dedicated to the VW Beetle, therefore I congratulate her for her good job! The pictures show VW Beetles made out of modelling material and coloured with tempera colours and a sand sculpture made at the beach. [Status 09/12]

27APR2003 - Added the NEW SPECIAL PAGE to the Famous Artists: Objects/Paintworks with Shape/Image of the VW Beetle category with the artwork made by José Roosevelt, a Brazilian who lives in Switzerland. I got the hint to contact him from his brother Paulo Pax, from Brasília/DF (I met him during an event organized by Roberto Nasser in which I launched my book EU AMO FUSCA in Brasília).
José Roosevelt is able to employ several techniques and styles, this go from the hyper-realistic, passing through the pen and China ink, arriving to the Salvador Dali's surrealistic style. In some of the examples you will have to search for the VW Beetle that appears as a small detail, as it is the case of the Phot1642 - Alice (based upon a drawing of 'Alice in Wonderland'), Phot1643 and the detail Phot1644 where the VW Beetle appears with long insect legs, Phot1646 and the detail Phot 1647 with several VW Beetles in different sizes and positions. The Phot1645 and Phot1649 are hyper-realistic artworks painted in Brasília, that happens to be the Brazilian Capital city. [Page status 08/12]

07SEP2002 - Added the NEW PAGE4 of the Miscellaneous items that do not match any existing category that starts with the Phot1604 the shows a Newspaper Report, dated 14JUN2002, about a desperate woman that forced the gate of the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais Governor's House to ask for help for her poor family situatuion. This report was found by my wife Maria Lucia. The Phot1636, 1637 and 1638 were sent by Heikki Syrjämäki from Finland per e-mail. [Page status 04/12]

01JUN2002 - NOTE: after some menaces and after having the Site switched off-line for many days I had to surrender to the Geocities/Yahoo pressure and bought 100 MB of space that will have to be paid monthly. This may lead me to transform this Site to a Pay-Site, that will have one free area and one area reserved for subscribers only. 31MAR2002 - Added to the PAGE 2 of the Arte&Fusca-by Gromow-Brazil page the Phot1581, 1582, 1583, 1584 and 1585 that were taken on 17MAR2002 in the neighborhood Vila Mariana, in São Paulo Brazil. In that region there are several recovered parts and new parts stores. The Phot1586 was taken on 14OCT2001 in the neighborhood Pinheiros, also in São Paulo. The chronology is somewhat confusing. I have many pictures to be put "on-air" but I'm giving priority to the contributions the Site is receiving. [Page status 12/12]
